A Gmail signature is a signature stored in Gmail’s own settings and attached automatically to messages you send from that account. It is managed under Gmail → Settings → See all settings → General → Signature, and can hold HTML pasted from a signature generator.
Gmail keeps separate defaults per sending address, so a signature set for one address does not automatically apply to another.
